There is a new law in Virginia that will ban Motorcycle Club Colors in Bars. The law, originally aimed at Street Gangs, is causing quite a stir with Virginia Bikers. The law states that Bar & Restaurant owners will lose their liquor license if they allow patrons who wear “gang” related attire such as Club Logo’s or Colored Bandannas.

These sort of “grey area” laws are extremely dangerous and a threat to everyone’s freedom. Who decides what constitutes “Gang Apparel”? I’m wondering if Boy Scouts are going to be able to eat together at Applebees if they are in their uniforms.

According to news reports, many Bikers and Motorcycle Club Members in Virginia have already begun fighting this law. If a law like this is allowed to stand in Virginia, it won’t be long until it is passed in other states across America!

We as Motorcyclists and Bikers (It does not matter what you call yourself) have to realize fast that we are all connected. It doesn’t matter what you ride, what State you live in or who you Support, we’re all in this together. What effects Me effects you and it doesn’t matter what you happen to think of me.

When the local Bar you and your Brothers love hanging out at is told that you and all other members of Motorcycle Clubs can no longer go there or they will revoke the Bars liquor license, What then?

This is no Joke my Biker Brothers, every month there is another new law that is aimed not only Motorcycle Club Members, but all Americans. It seems that every time the Government wants to take away a freedom, they find a way to craft a new law for our “safety”. What kind of Country is this turning into when you can’t wear what you want and suddenly, your constitutional right to assemble is taken away from you?

Although there are many ignorant people out there that believe Motorcycle Clubs are Gangs, that’s simply not the case. Most Motorcycle Clubs are made up of hard working, honest, law abiding, patriotic, American Citizens who enjoy a common bond, Motorcycles. It’s what is in a persons heart that determines who they are, not the clothes they wear.

In the past year the government has taken away the Colors of one Motorcycle Club. A law enforcement officer can demand anyone sporting the Clubs logo to forfeit it. The theory is that the loss of the logo strips the club of its “gang identity.”

Grant it, it appears that some of the Clubs members may have been involved in illegal activities, but that doesn’t mean that everyone who rides a Motorcycle should be punished for it. In fact, less than 10% of this 600 Member Club was even accused of wrong doing.

In addition, the Government and law enforcement agencies have been spending millions of our dollars to influence friends and ex-members of Motorcycle Clubs in an effort to infiltrate these clubs in hopes of catching members doing something illegal. Often, when they find that the Club they’ve infiltrated is nothing more than a group of Patriotic, Law Abiding Men & Women, they’ll fabric wrong doing so that they can justify the enormous amount of resources spent on these Fishing Expeditions.

Just imagine how much better off we’d all be if they used those resources to investigate the Corrupt Politicians, the Corporations that control our Country, Wall Street, and the other issues that are quickly sinking this great Nation.

What I want to know is, what will be the last straw? What’s it going to take for us to say enough is enough? We can not fight these Laws and Fight each other at the same time! We need to work together to save what we are, who we are.

The Government has taken away our rights to ride the Motorcycle we want, to wear what we want and now to go where we want! Why are we still fighting each other? When are we going to wake up??

Americans have been concerned about the economy as far as redundancy is concerned, still not understanding that redundancy rates are not a principal indicator of the condition of the country financially. President Obama assured America again yesterday, that his recovery plan was on track, even though the time following the signing of the stimulus bill saw recession high unemployment rates and another large drop in the market.

The President admitted he is also not pleased with the progress we’re seeing so far, demonstrating that his administration will be fast tracking the strategy detailed in the stimulus plan, eager to give another flicker of hope to Americans who are incensed, at the very least, with the shape of the economy. The Obama administration also claimed that they have so far only spent $44 billion, or 5 percent, of the $787 billion stimulus package, the largest economic stimulus in American history, and arguably one of the largest financial bills in American history.

Obama says that, “we’re in a spot to really speed up.” He reiterated his guarantee to generate or save 600,000 jobs by the conclusion of the summer, a claim that will never be verifiable. This is just a “repackaging” of old promises and a rejuvenation of old projects, but hopefully the renewed sense of urgency will be enough to make President Obama’s plans and projects effective.

1.6 billion Americans have misplaced their jobs from the time when the economic stimulus plan was signed in February, making the White House estimations they have still saved 150,000 jobs rather bleak in comparison. The Obama administration has claimed for the first time that they were too overly optimistic in the forecasting they used to sell the stimulus package to Congress. Jared Bernstein, Vice President Biden’s economic adviser, commented, “At the time, our prediction seemed realistic. At this time, looking back, it was obviously too positive. Experts consider the administration is still being idealistic and that any job formation will be the result of luck by itself and not at the great scale he predicts.

Opponents of the stimulus plan have argued ever since the President’s inaugural ceremony that the stimulus package cannot work out at all, in spite of of forecasting, due to ‘pork barrel’ projects that have been incorporated in the bill and the fact that the federal budget does not include the money it takes to fund the enterprise. Obama is now trying to restore the country’s belief in the measures he has taken. He commented, “We’ve done more than ever, faster than ever, more reliably than ever, to get the gears of the economy moving once more. I’m not happy. We’ve got more work to do.” Americans seemingly agree, and think he has not done an adequate amount. Obama’s disapproval rating concerning the economy rose from 30% to 42%, nearly overnight.

The answer to that question depends on the geographic location of the person who’s answering. One certain thing is that water is a scarce resource. While water scarcity is not physically felt in countries like Canada or the US, there are other problems related to water consumption.

A report by EWG (Environmental Working Group) states that more than 230 million Americans were exposed to contaminated tap water in 2005. These results were found through a 2yr independent study done by scientists in America. Over 21 million water tap tests were conducted and more than 4000 water filtration plants were visited.

Within the 260 contaminants that were discovered, over half of them were unregulated by the government. When people knew what was happening, states that were worried, like Florida, Wisconsin, Arizona, etc. took drastic steps to fix this contamination problem.

However when it comes to bottled water, concerns are even greater. EWG , attempted to conduct a similar study on the quality of bottled water. Out of 228 bottled water suppliers, more than half refused to provide any information whatsoever, on the source of the water used, or any water treatment procedures. Such a secrecy is rather alarming from the consumer’s and health care practitioner’s point of view. Samples of bottled water that were indeed provided for the testing showed 38 different chemical pollutants.

There were cancer causing chemicals found in drinking water by Sam’s choice, a brand sold by Wal-Mart, that beat out all safety standards for drinking water.

It becomes clear, that bottled water is not a safer alternative to tap water. In fact it may be more dangerous, because little is known and disclosed on the origins of the water and the filtering procedures.

Situation in certain parts of Latin America, Europe and Africa is just catastrophic. Of course if you are living in one of those parts of the world where the water can kill you, you should boil it prior to usage or pass it through a powerful filtration system such as “Katadyn hiker pro”.

The World Health Organization has reported that, more than 1.3 billion people don’t have access to any drinking water. Unsanitary conditions have made natural waters undrinkable and tap water is too dangerous to drink.

Pollution and neglecting the environment can make our greatest treasure, water, a deadly weapon. Each year, 1.8 million people die because of waterborne diseases such as Cholera and E.Coli.

While the American government continues the debate over Obama’s Health Plan, postponing medical care today instigates impending major illnesses. Each year, over a million Americans are diagnosed with cancer and 550,000 are diagnosed with heart disease. Diabetes tops the list of death related illnesses and exorbitant disability costs, totaling almost $175 billion costs each year.
